When you spend a lot of money to have a package shipped via UPS or FedEx and this package gets lost, damaged, and/or arrives late, to say it is “irritating” might be an understatement. FedEx and UPS both have a great record for getting packages to their destination without difficulty, however, in some instances the fault may be theirs. In many cases though, at least part of the blame lies with the person who sent the package out in the first place. Here are some proven ways that will help your expedited package make it to the destination in tact and on time.
1. Always print the label instead of writing it by hand. No matter how neat and tidy you try to be with your handwriting, there are just some individuals that have a hard time writing clearly. A printed label is not only clearer but also more professional and is sure to make a better impression on the recipient.
2. Using the proper packaging is an absolute must. When shipping items that are fragile, it is mandatory that you package it properly. It is a much better practice to add too much wrapping on a fragile item than too little. Labeling the outside of the box clearly with ‘Fragile’ is also a must.
