CMR Group, LLC History
In March 1996, Jim Parker founded CMR Group, LLC and aimed to use his background and experience as a former Chief Financial Officer to assist companies in reducing expenses in a number of areas, including telecommunications, utilities, freight, and insurance. Later that year, Carl Kamppi joined the company. Carl’s background and experience in the parcel transportation and telecommunications industries brought additional expertise and began to streamline the focus of the company into these two fields. In June of 1997, Tom Lane joined the company after 16+ years with UPS. Tom’s knowledge of the carriers’ service guarantees and costing models was instrumental in further focusing the company to specialize in the parcel transportation industry.
In November 2005, CMR Group, LLC merged with Iron Data Solutions (IDS), LLC, a leading innovator of business process outsourcing solutions. The technological infrastructure and dynamic programming staff of IDS provided immediate enhancements to the services CMR offers its clients. CMR Group, LLC now has the ability to provide state-of-the-art programming and reporting to complement the industry-leading audit services we have provided for years.
